Babcock International Group is a world leading engineering services company covering a vast range of sectors through a federated business of 32,000 employees. As the Group Director of Organisation and Development, I sponsor a number of large-scale, organisation-wide initiatives. Ruth Allott has worked on 3 of these projects in a consultancy and coordination capacity since February 2011.
These projects included: the design and roll out of a first line leaders development framework, including a suite of 60 online development modules; The design of a pan-organisational talent management framework; and consultancy support for the newly formed Graduate recruitment steering group, responsible for strategic alignment of graduate activities and processes across the organisation.
In all of these projects I have found Ruth committed to getting results through engaging and involving all the stakeholders. She has shown a good understanding of our diverse business and a talent for harnessing the experience and competence of the project participants.
Ruth has an ability to translate strategy into manageable actions and communicate these with clarity and passion. Her commitment and drive to achieve a good outcome for the customer is evident. Ruth’s 25 +years of HR change and development experience, together with her practical and honest approach, make her an asset in the feasibility and planning stage of any project. She is tenacious when faced with any obstacle or setback during implementation, using her diplomatic and creative skills to find workable solutions acceptable to all those involved.
